Kontron’s microETXexpress®: compact and COM Express™ compatible
Meet the ultimate embedded module on just 95 x 95 mm – based on COM Express™ and being part of the ETXexpress® specification.
COM Express™ is the Computer-on-Module form factor which is state-of-the-art. The primary difference between the compact and basic form factor is the overall physical footprint. In terms of interfaces and pin-out, the compact form factor is 100% compatible with the basic form factor.
The mounting holes on the compact module line up with the holes of the basic form factor – as long as the module size covers their position. This, together with the same placement of the connectors, guarantees interchangeability between basic and compact on Carrier Boards.
Kontron sells the compact form factor under the registered trademark microETXexpress®.

microETXexpress® for Extreme Temperatures
Mission-critical applications in the military,
aerospace, transportation, energy and industrial

functionality in extended temperature ranges,

that COM solutions perform within extended
temperature environments – by design (solutions
built with all industrial grade components) and
by 100 percent extended temperature testing of
the solution. The Kontron microETXexpress®-XL offers a "by design" modular solution fully approved for use under E2 industrial temperature range (-40° to +85°C) conditions. Kontron also offers other high-performance COMs re-engineered to be reliable under such extreme temperature conditions.
