Early product development services help you "see" your product concept.

Kontron customer projects involve the creation of numerous products. Here are a few examples of the type of projects we are currently engaged in to help our customers.
Communications Projects
Many Kontron customers are focused on communications products, specifically network platforms. As Internet usage and services expand worldwide, more people will be accessing corporate data and services from more and more devices. To meet this need, Kontron has developed IU and 2U rack mounted Network Platforms, the KNP-1000 and KNP-2000, designed for further customer desired customization. Each are powered by 64 bit Intel® processors to deliver performance needed for data intensive application. The 3 PCI-X expansion slots in the KNP-2000 are ideal for your further customization. Both Kontron Network Platform products have an LCD with 4 programmable buttons for ease of device management.
HMI and Mobile Platform Projects
Other Kontron customers developing custom systems are focusing on Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions for mobile computing devices for industry specific usages. Establishing breakthrough usage models requires custom solutions since the system must enable the usage. Since it is not appropriate for us to discuss customer products in development, let’s look at a product outside of Kontron’s development, the often cited Apple® iPhone®. Many Linux and Microsoft® pocket PC version phones had touch screens long before the iPhone. The iPhone brought full browsing capabilities to a phone with a GUI that spurred easy usage of the data services on the device. HMI, whether on a mobile or a stationary device can be instrumental to a product's adoption by users.
